Intersect Prep

Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

Intersect Prep helps students practice SAT math with the Desmos graphing calculator. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the site, we never sell your information, and we don't show ads.

Information we collect

How we use it

We don't use your information for advertising, we don't build profiles of you for anything other than your own studying, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run parts of the site for us, and only so they can provide those services:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the safety of our users or others, or as part of a transfer of the site to a new owner, who would have to honor this policy.

Children under 13

Intersect Prep is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We ask for a birth month and year once, when an account is created, and keep only whether the answer was 13 or older. Anyone under 13 can't create an account, and an account created before the question is answered is deleted right away if the answer is under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us at support@intersectprep.com and we will delete it.

Students and schools

Students sign up for Intersect Prep on their own; we don't collect information through schools. We use learning data only to provide and improve the site for you. We never use it for targeted advertising and never sell it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information and learning data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, it is removed from our database immediately; copies may remain in our providers' backups for a limited time before they are overwritten. Feedback and pass records are deleted along with your account. Stripe keeps its own record of payments for as long as tax and financial laws require.

Your choices and rights

If you are a parent or guardian of a student under 18, you can contact us to review or delete your child's information.

California residents

California law gives residents the right to know what personal information a business collects, uses, and discloses, and to ask for it to be deleted or corrected, without being treated differently for asking. The sections above describe what we collect and why; to make a request, use Account settings or contact us. We do not sell or "share" personal information as California law defines those terms, and we don't disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

Do Not Track. We don't track you across other websites, so the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, and our database only lets each signed-in student read and change their own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as the law requires if a breach affects it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect.
